Noordeen, Professor Hilali

Profile: 

Mr Noordeen is the author of several articles in peer reviewed journals and chapters in books, and is the editor of the Interactive Spine CD. He was a Senior Lecturer at the Institute of Orthopaedics and the Institute of Child Health, University College London, and has been awarded a number of prizes and awards for his clinical and research achievements including the ISOLA Prize awarded by the British Scoliosis Society (BSS) for the Best Scientific Paper. He was the adjust professor of spinal surgery at the National University of Malaysia for 2010- 2014.

Mr Noordeen has been a Consultant in Spinal Surgery at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in Stanmore, and at the Children's Hospital at Great Ormond Street, together with the Princess Grace Hospital and the Portland Hospital, since 1995. His specialist interests include spinal deformity, which encompasses a large practice including children's deformity, degenerative adult deformity, and deformity secondary to spinal injury and fractures. He also received his Doctorate in Medicine from the University of Oxford for his work of the advances in the treatment of early onset scoliosis and researches actively in the core of research in Spinal disorders.

Education and training: 

Mr Hilali Noordeen completed his medical qualification at the University of Oxford in 1985. After qualifying, he went onto receive his Orthopaedic training at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital and the Middlesex Hospital, London.
