Maggie was experiencing extreme pain in her big toe that made walking, standing and wearing certain shoes difficult. The pain got worse and worse until she finally decided to seek help. A friend suggested she go to the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in Stanmore, north west London, the UK's largest specialist orthopaedic centre.
Maggie attended as a private patient and underwent a big toe fusion to help with the symptoms of arthritis. She was operated on by consultant orthopaedic surgeon Mr Matt Welck. Maggie now has pain free feet and is very happy about her care and treatment at the RNOH.
