Patients & Visitors

Visitor Information

Visiting family and friends

Visitors are welcome at any time between 9am and 8.30pm, 7 days a week. Any visits outside of this time will be subject to the patient’s clinical condition. All visitors are asked to report to RNOH Private Care reception, every time they come to visit and to clean their hands on entering the ward.

We ask that visitors do not attend if they are feeling unwell, have a cold or any stomach upset symptoms to protect patients and staff.

Respecting patient needs

Having visitors can be quite tiring and we find that most patients generally prefer to have only one or two visitors at any time.

We recommend that children under the age of 12 do not visit the ward.  They are welcome to meet with patients in our dedicated waiting area space if patients are physically well enough to do so.  Please discuss any visits from children with the Private Care team in advance.

"Emily was born with Erb’s Palsy - a condition that meant she couldn’t use her left arm. She needed an operation. Our daughter was so well looked after – we can’t fault the service or staff"

"The staff at the hospital were all very helpful and cheerful. They were considerate of my situation and made me feel welcome and comfortable. I am so pleased that I chose to have my surgery there."

"I’m glad I won’t have to wear this brace anymore and I look forward to doing all the things I did before like trampolining and horse-riding. The care I've had at RNOH has been amazing, I’d like to thank all the doctors and nurses and the robot!"
